PROJECT TITLE | Text Corpora and Interactive Visualization of Text Analytics |
SUBJECT AREAS | We seek a PhD applicant (to enrol no later than 31 January 2017) in the area of Digital Humanities, specifically to work on text corpora and interactive visualization of text analytics. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and skilled software developer who is keen to create an innovative public resource with a visual interface for computational analyses of a culturally interesting text dataset. You will work with researchers at Swansea University based in Computer Science and in Arts and Humanities, whose projects include experimental visual analysis of literary multi-translations corpora. Cross-language proposals are particularly welcome. But you are not restricted to that kind of data. The successful applicant will be the one who proposes the most exciting and feasible project, as well as meeting all the other criteria. |
