Travel

The closest airport is Cardiff airport, although only a limited number of flights operate to and from Cardiff airport. A bus service runs between the airport and nearest railway station (Rhoose Cardiff International Airport), from which a train to Cardiff Central runs every hour.

Bristol airport is just under 2 hours away travelling by bus (to Bristol Temple Meads) and then train to Cardiff. Alternatively, there are direct coaches operated by National Express from Bristol Airport to Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, which is about a 10 minute walk from the venue.

Heathrow airport is about 2 hours 30 minutes away travelling by train, and Gatwick airport is about 3 hours away. There are again National Express coach services from both airports to Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.

Train journeys can be planned on the National Rail Enquiries website (note if buying a ticket an open return is usually cheaper than buying two single tickets on different days). The closest train station to the conference venue is Cardiff Cathays. It is approximately a 30 minute walk from the main train station, Cardiff Central.

There also coaches operated by Flixbus and Megabus (and possibly others) that can be used to travel between the airports and Cardiff.
